Excessive Radiation From CTs Leads to CDRH Investigation

CDRH is investigating more than 250 reports of patients receiving excessive radiation from imaging machines manufactured by GE Healthcare and Toshiba and has released recommendations to reduce the risk of overexposure. The patients received up to eight times the normal amount of radiation during recent brain scans, CDRH officials said in a media call last week.
