MDR Problem Codes to Be Updated

CDRH is revising its device and patient problem codes that are to be used in medical device reports (MDRs) to describe device issues and patient symptoms. The center will not accept old codes or code numbers after April 2, according to a notice published in Tuesday’s Federal Register. The modifications to the codes will be available on the agency website. Comments on these changes may be submitted at any time.
