ev3 Recalls Trailblazer Support Catheter

Devicemaker ev3 Endovascular has initiated a Class I recall of its Trailblazer Support Catheter because the device may crack near the radiopaque marker band and cause serious patient injury. The device is indicated to guide and support a guide wire during blood vessel access, according to the FDA. The recalled lots were manufactured in September and distributed between Sept. 21 and Oct. 27.
