AAHRPP Tightens Policies, Lengthens Reaccreditation

The Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP) is extending its reaccreditation period while tightening some of its other compliance policies. AAHRPP’s board of directors voted last month to lengthen the current three-year reaccreditation period to five years to improve efficiency for members and the association itself. However, the initial accreditation period will remain three years. The change went into effect Jan. 1.
