More Drugmakers Are Raided in EC Antitrust Investigation

As part of the European Commission’s (EC) investigation of alleged anti-competitive practices to delay generic-drug introductions, the commission has launched more surprise inspections at the offices of European pharmaceutical companies. The EC would not identify the companies involved in the inspections nor the countries in which they are located, but Jonathan Todd, a spokesman for Neelie Kroes, the European Commissioner for Competition, said the inspections are likely to continue.
