Lawmakers Try to Shape Device Tax as Industry Prepares for ‘Inevitable’

While the House and Senate begin to hammer out their differences on the proposed $2 billion annual device tax, some lawmakers are working to exempt small device companies and industry is preparing for the added expense. Reps. Anna Eshoo (D-Calif.) and Erik Paulsen (R-Minn.) recently sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) asking that smaller device companies be exempted from the tax.
