FDA, PATH Agreement Could Lead to Clinical Trials for Vaccines

The FDA has entered an agreement with the nonprofit PATH that could lead to several clinical trials of pneumococcal vaccines for children in developing countries. PATH will give the FDA $480,000 to help partners develop vaccines that can be used with young children by increasing the strength of their immune response, the agency said.
