Plaintiffs Drop OxyContin Case Against Purdue Pharma

Six plaintiffs have dropped accusations that Purdue Pharma prevented generic competition for its painkiller OxyContin through misrepresentations to the PTO and sham patent litigation. The cases, filed separately by the Connecticut Citizen Action Group and five individual OxyContin (oxycodone HCl) consumers, were transferred to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York in 2004.
