Particulate Contamination Cited in Warning Letter to Hospira

Hospira has received an FDA warning letter related to particulate matter in certain emulsion products, including the anesthetic propofol and Liposyn. The April 12 warning letter recently posted online cites good manufacturing practice deficiencies at two North Carolina facilities and includes procedures related to the quality control unit and investigations, the company said.
