Teva Cites Mismatch of Priorities in Decision to Leave GPhA

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, the world’s largest generic drugmaker, plans to withdraw from the Generic Pharmaceutical Association (GPhA), but
the trade group is working to dissuade the company from leaving. The way GPhA is structured, “it cannot appropriately reflect the policy priorities
or marketplace realities of Teva,” William Marth, president and CEO of Teva North America, says in a letter to GPhA this month.
