FDA Approves Upgrade to Monitoring System

A software upgrade to Boston Scientific’s Latitude 6.0 Patient Management System has received approval from the FDA, the company said Tuesday. The system, which transmits data and alerts, allows physicians to remotely monitor patients with implantable cardiac devices. The software upgrade provides an expanded history of a patient's follow-up data.
