Judge Says No Evidence to Support Stryker Whistle-Blower Lawsuit

A federal judge in Michigan has tossed a whistle-blower lawsuit against Stryker, citing lack of evidence. Robert Laucirica, a sales representative at Zimmer Deptula, filed a qui tam lawsuit claiming Hari Parvataneni, an orthopedic surgeon at the University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital, decided to use Stryker products after Stryker allegedly took him to dinner and agreed to fund the training of his residents and some of his research projects.
