MHRA Issues Alert for Suction Liners

The UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has issued an alert for Hospira’s suction liners. Because of a manufacturing problem, the lids of Receptal PVC suction liners may not correctly align, resulting in an inadequate seal and a loss of suction. Up to 10 percent of the liners have misaligned lids, MHRA says. Healthcare providers should check the liners before using them.
