House Bill Would Curb Fines in False Marking Lawsuits

As drugmakers continue to find themselves barraged by lawsuits accusing them of marking their products with expired patents, the industry may find relief on the issue from Congress. The Patent Lawsuit Reform Act, H.R. 6352, introduced by Rep. Bob Latta (R-Ohio) late last month, would amend current law to severely reduce the fines companies face if they are found guilty of false marking.
