Elemental Launches Gastrointestinal Liner in UK

Elemental Healthcare has launched its EndoBarrier gastrointestinal liner in the UK. The product is intended for patients who struggle with the management of Type 2 diabetes and those who also are clinically obese. The EndoBarrier is placed in the GI tract endoscopically, creating a barrier between food and the intestinal walls. Clinical trials with the device have demonstrated success in reducing patients’ blood sugar levels and total body weight, the company says.
