New Public-Private Partnership to Spur Pain Med Development

The FDA is hoping that a public-private partnership it has formed with the University of Rochester will help advance the development of pain drugs and improve clinical trials for the drugs. The Analgesic Clinical Trial Innovations, Opportunities and Networks (ACTION) initiative will bring together coalitions such as professional societies, patient advocacy groups, industry and government to collaborate on multiple projects to help bring more treatment options to patients.
