Devicemakers Can Use Database to Choose Compliant Vendors

Devicemakers have a new tool to help them find suitable vendors — a CDRH database that provides information about device inspections from 2008 to the present.

The inspections database contains information about facilities, types of devices and inspections, and links to warning letters. Anyone can search the database by company name, country, medical specialty and inspection type.

CDRH sees the new database as a resource that will help device manufacturers make more informed decisions about distributors and suppliers.
