FDA to Hold External Defibrillator Workshop

The FDA will hold a public workshop on the external defibrillators December 14 and 15 at the agency’s White Oak Campus in Silver Spring, Md. The workshop will address the risks and benefits of the external debrillators, the FDA’s expectations for industry reporting of problems, and ways to promote safer, more effective devices in the future. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 15 and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 16.
