WalkMed Releases More Information on Infusion Pump Recall

WalkMed has released more information on the Class I recall of its Triton pole mount infusion pump, saying the device malfunction may be more serious than originally thought. The company recalled the pumps in June after learning that an improperly latched door may not fully close, possibly resulting in free flow and overdelivery of therapy. The company now says the doors may not close even when latched according to the instructions for use.
