EC Raids More Pharma Companies in Investigation Into Generic Delays

Recent raids on pharmaceutical companies mark the European Commission’s (EC) latest attempt to crack down on antitrust practices. The raids, which took place Nov. 30, consisted of unannounced inspections at several companies, the EC said this month. “The Commission has reason to believe that the companies concerned may have acted individually or jointly, notably to delay generic entry for a particular medicine.” An EC spokeswoman said it is against policy to name any companies that were investigated.
