Boston Scientific Gets Approval for Renegade System

Boston Scientific has received FDA approval for its Renegade Hi-Flo Fathom Pre-Loaded system for accessing the peripheral vasculature. The system combines a guidewire and microcatheter in a single device designed to deliver diagnostic, embolic and therapeutic materials during minimally invasive procedures to treat liver cancer and uterine fibroids, the company says. An immediate U.S. launch is planned.
