Pharma Jobs Outlook Bleak as European Sites Axed

Drug companies are pulling down the shutters on major European research laboratories, posing a serious challenge to the region’s ambitions for creating new high-tech jobs. Nowhere is the problem more acute than in Britain, where Prime Minister David Cameron named pharmaceuticals as one of five “industries of the future” in early January — only to have the rug pulled from under his feet two weeks later.
