MHRA Issues Alert for Ethicon Sutures

The UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has issued a device alert for sutures manufactured by Ethicon, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. Because the sutures’ unit pack may not have been improperly sealed, the sutures might not be sterile. Use of non-sterile sutures can lead to infection.
