Medco Health Report Looks at Reasons for Rising Costs of Prescription Drugs

The rising cost of specialty drugs, a category that includes high-priced biologic medicines to treat cancer and rheumatoid arthritis, could soon be offset by the introduction of generic-like copies called biosimilars, according to a report evaluating spending on prescription drugs released Wednesday by Medco Health Solutions.
