APEC Endorses KL Principles for Device Sector Codes of Ethics

Medical devicemakers marketing products to the Asia-Pacific region should follow several principles for interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs) recently endorsed by the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum. The forum endorsed the Kuala Lumpur Principles for Medical Device Sector Codes of Ethics (KL Principles) at its May meeting to help its 21 member economies address a lack of consistency, predictability and transparency in the laws and regulatory frameworks in the Asia-Pacific region.
