FDA Issues Class II Recall for GEM Premier 3500 Blood Gas Analyzer

The FDA is issuing a Class II recall for Instrumentation Laboratory’s GEM Premier 3500 Blood Gas Analyzer. Due to a software upgrade, misuse of the barcode gun by repeatedly clicking can cause the instrument to attach test results to an incorrect patient’s identification.
