Global Spending on Generics to Skyrocket Worldwide, IMS Says

Almost doubling its market share from five years ago, global spending on generic drugs will jump to 39 percent of all pharmaceuticals by 2015, IMS Health predicts. The rate of spending for all medicines will still increase — but its growth rate will slow because of several factors, including policy changes and patent expirations.
