EU Proposes Court Reforms in Next Step Toward Unified Patent System

The European Council’s proposed reforms to the judicial system for the EU-wide single patent system will exclude third-party countries, according to a “non-paper” on the topic. According to the recently published non-paper, the unified patent court could be set up through an agreement concluded between member states on the creation of a common jurisdiction.
