St. Jude to Broaden Depression Study

St. Jude Medical said regulators have approved expanding a clinical study on a brain pacemaker used to treat depression. The controlled, blinded study will determine whether stimulating a certain part of the brain electrically is a safe and effective means for treating patients with severe depression.
