FDA, FTC Move to Thwart OTC HCG Weight Loss Drugs

In a coordinated crackdown, the FDA and the FTC warned seven companies marketing OTC human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) products as homeopathic weight loss treatments for making “deceptive,” unsupported health claims and for selling unapproved drugs.
