FDA Collaborates to Work Against Rare Cataract Condition

Toxic Anterior Segment Syndrome is a rare condition that can occur after cataract surgery. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration in collaboration with other government agencies, unveiled a program to monitor medical devices used in cataract surgery in an effort to stem outbreaks of the rare, inflammatory condition.
