Group Asks FDA to Withdraw Wingspan Stent Approval

Consumer advocacy group Public Citizen is petitioning the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to withdraw approval of a stent that is supposed to prevent strokes in people who already have had one because a study found the device actually increases the risk of stroke and death.
