N.J. Medical Device Company Buys Local Startup

New Jersey-based medical device company C.R. Bard said it has purchased Lutonix, a startup based in Maple Grove, for $225 million. The deal calls for C.R. Bard to pay another $100 million if U.S. regulators approve a Lutonix experimental balloon device called Moxy, meant to be used in angioplasty procedures in leg arteries.
