Potential Breakage of Clip Leads to Pump Recall

The FDA issued a recall for B. Braun’s Infusomat Space Pump following reports of a faulty free flow clip catch. If the clip catch is broken after the set is manually removed from the pump without the closure of the IV set roller clamp, the anti free flow clip may not re-engage the tubing, which leaves an open fluid path with the potential for free flow.
