GSK Recalls Hypertension Drug Produced at Novartis’ Nebraska Plant

March 30, 2012
GlaxoSmithKline has recalled 10 lots — some 394,000 bottles — of its hypertension drug DynaCirc CR after quality and commingling issues at Novartis’ troubled Lincoln, Neb., plant, where it was produced. While there have been no reports of adverse events or complaints of foreign products in batches of DynaCirc CR (isradipine) associated with the recall, the company is pulling the product off U.S. shelves as a precautionary measure, GSK spokesman Kevin Colgan told DGR Feb. 27.
