Detachment Issues Lead to Recall for Fluid Administration Sets

Smiths Medical has issued a recall for its Level 1 Normothermic IV fluid administration sets due to reports of possible disconnections of the Luer lock connector at the patient end of the tubing for these fluid warming sets. This could lead to a risk of fluid/blood loss or delay in therapy.
