EU Prepares to Survey Women With PIP Implants

The EU’s Scientific Committee on Emerging and Newly Identified Health Risks will prepare a questionnaire for women who received the PIP silicone gel breast implants, to be distributed by member states. The questionnaire is part of a two-pronged effort to update the committee’s Feb. 1 scientific opinion on the devices, manufactured by the defunct French company Poly Implant Prosthese.
