AdvaMed to Put Dedicated Staff in Three Emerging Markets

AdvaMed will add full-time staff on the ground in China, Brazil and India over the next three years under a new strategic plan unveiled April 19. The plan — disclosed as part of a media call with AdvaMed President Stephen Ubl and new group Chairman David Dvorak, president and CEO of Zimmer — is part of an ongoing effort to clarify the trade group’s priorities. “It’s easy for associations to become overly reactive” and only consider day-to-day needs, Dvorak said. “I think that this was an appropriately forward-looking effort to identify our priorities.”
