Approval of Generic Clopidogrel a Boon for Patients or Payors?

Just as Sanofi-Aventis loses its exclusivity for its blockbuster drug Plavix (clopidogrel) this month, several generic formulations of the antiplatelet agent have been approved, the Food and Drug Administration said.
