EU Drug-Scanning Plan to Secure Supply Chain Is Held Up by Repackaging Obstacle

Counterproductive cross-border repackaging requirements in the EU are holding back a group of drug distributors from approving a drugmaker-backed supply chain security plan to scan all treatments at the point of dispensing. The 70-member distributor association is committed to overseeing the supply chain safety plan, European Association of Euro Pharmaceutical Companies (EAEPC) Secretary General Heinz Kobelt said.
