Covidien Receives FDA Clearance for Stapling System

Covidien has announced it has received FDA clearance for a new stapling system. The iDrive Ultra powered stapling system is a reusable, battery-operated endoscopic surgical stapler. Features include one-handed push-button operation, unlimited articulation and a design for multi-patient use, according to the company.
