Bedford Broadens Recall of Chemotherapy Drug

September 21, 2012
Ben Venue subsidiary Bedford Laboratories is expanding its voluntary recall of chemotherapy drug leucovorin calcium due to crystalline particulates in a small number of vials. The recall, originally limited to two lots, now includes all lots of the liquid form of the drug that are within their expiration date. The crystalline particulates are bits of active drug, not debris, the company has said. No adverse reactions have been reported.
