FDA Expert: Trust Gut Instincts As First Supplier Qualification Step

Gut instincts can play a crucial role in telling devicemakers what they need to know in selecting suppliers, an FDA official says. “When you’re first looking at meeting with suppliers, you can usually get a good feel right away whether or not they’re operating in a quality environment,” Division of Manufacturers branch chief Joseph Tartal said Sept. 20 at the FDA Small Business Regulatory Education for Industry conference in Washington, D.C.
