Bayer Sues Lupin Over Natazia Patent

Bayer is suing Lupin for infringing a patent on birth control drug Natazia. The brand-drug maker alleges Lupin plans to offer its generic Natazia (estradiol valerate and estradiol valerate/dienogest) before the drug loses patent protection in 2026. Natazia was approved in 2010 as an oral contraceptive and to treat pathologically heavy menstruation.
