EMA Reveals 2013 Targets for New Trial Data Transparency Policies

January 4, 2013

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has laid out a timeline for developing new policies to increase access to clinical trial data.

The agency expects to compile the proposed policies into a document by June 30, and release it for consultation until Sept. 30. A final policy document should be ready for publication by Nov. 30 and would take effect Jan. 1, 2014.

The groups are expected to convene between January and February and report their findings to the agency by April 30.
