Sandoz Launches First Duetact Generic

Sandoz Friday launched the first generic version of Takeda’s Type 2 diabetes drug Duetact (pioglitazone HCl/glimepiride) with 180-day first-filer exclusivity. Duetact sales were about $29 million for the 12 months ending in November 2012, according to IMS Health.
