FDA Approves Watson’s Lysteda Generic

The FDA has approved Watson Pharmaceuticals’ generic of Ferring Pharmaceuticals’ heavy menstrual bleeding drug Lysteda. Watson expects to begin shipping the generic product immediately even though prior to the approval, Ferring sued Watson alleging its ANDA infringes on three Lysteda (tranexamic acid) patents.
