Drugmakers’ shortage-prevention programs aren’t catching quality deviations as designed, according to a new survey that paints a stark picture of shortage prevalence. The International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering conducted the survey to determine the root causes for shortages, receiving responses from 175 individuals and 37 companies.
