FDA Gets Last-Minute EU Waiver for API Imports

The European Commission has granted the FDA a waiver to new importation rules for active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) that go into effect on July 2. The waiver ensures that U.S. API makers don’t have to file cumbersome good manufacturing practices documentation before shipping products across the pond to EU markets.
