Horse-Inspired Mechanical Legs Helping Stroke Patients Walk Again

A pair of Seattle inventors has created a device that helps stroke patients with weak legs walk again. The inventors were inspired by the horse tendon – which extends from hip to ankle – in building the springs and cables that make up the device.
